About This Opportunity
Are you an experienced Psychotherapist passionate about delivering high-quality services efficiently and effectively? If so, CBI Health has an excellent opportunity for you to apply your strong clinical skills and experience as part of an interdisciplinary team. As a registered Psychotherapist at our Kitchener Victoria Health Centre, you will rely on your training and experience with grief/loss, mood/anxiety-related disorders and the assessment and treatment of trauma to really make a difference in the lives of our clients.
Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day
- Provide psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment to individuals and family members presenting with a wide range of mental health symptoms and disorders
- Be responsible for working effectively and collaboratively with a team of clinicians to provide concurrent treatment that supports clients getting back to their normal living activities and daily functioning (including return to work)
- Support clients with disabilities and/or injuries sustained from work or auto-related accidents
- Provide detailed written reports and verbal updates of treatment progress to health funders including insurance adjusters, rehabilitation consultants, and disability managers
- Form and establish a therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
- Utilize effective and clear communication skills
- Provide sound clinical acumen and ethical judgment
- Make appropriate and effective use of self in clinical treatment
What You Need To Be Successful
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Psychotherapist
- Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- A Master’s degree in counselling or a psychology-related discipline
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide-range of mental health symptoms
- Clinical knowledge in the area of trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety and addictions
- Experience working with traumatic brain injuries/concussions, and clients making the transition back to work
- High familiarity in delivering a variety of different clinical modalities within both short-and-long-term intervention plans
- Ability to collaborate and communicate within an interdisciplinary team
