About this opportunity
Are you an experienced Psychotherapist passionate about delivering high-quality services efficiently and effectively? If so, CBI Health has an excellent opportunity for you to apply your strong clinical skills and experience as part of an interdisciplinary team. As a registered Psychotherapist at our Kitchener Victoria Health Centre, you will rely on your training and experience with grief/loss, mood/anxiety-related disorders and the assessment and treatment of trauma to really make a difference in the lives of our clients.
Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day
Provide psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment to individuals and family members presenting with a wide range of mental health symptoms and disorders
Be responsible for working effectively and collaboratively with a team of clinicians to provide concurrent treatment that supports clients getting back to their normal living activities and daily functioning (including return to work)
Support clients with disabilities and/or injuries sustained from work or auto-related accidents
Provide detailed written reports and verbal updates of treatment progress to health funders including insurance adjusters, rehabilitation consultants, and disability managers
Form and establish a therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
Utilize effective and clear communication skills
Provide sound clinical acumen and ethical judgment
Make appropriate and effective use of self in clinical treatment
What you need to be successful
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Psychotherapist
Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
A Master’s degree in counselling or a psychology-related discipline
Experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide-range of mental health symptoms
Clinical knowledge in the area of trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety and addictions
Experience working with traumatic brain injuries/concussions, and clients making the transition back to work
High familiarity in delivering a variety of different clinical modalities within both short-and-long-term intervention plans
Ability to collaborate and communicate within an interdisciplinary team
