Job Overview

The Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time Associate Director of the University of Calgary Psychology Clinic at the rank of Assistant Professor (teaching), tenure-track. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025.

About the UCPC

The University of Calgary Psychology Clinic (UCPC) is a sliding scale outpatient mental health training clinic serving the greater Calgary area. It provides state-of-the-art training to graduate students of the University of Calgary's accredited Clinical Psychology Program and offers evidence-based psychological services to the community.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the UCPC Director in providing clinical supervision to trainees.
  2. Plan community and practicum placements for the Clinical Psychology graduate program.
  3. Engage in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate psychology courses in clinical psychology.
  4. Promote and support clinical research within the UCPC.
  5. Assist with clinic operations, program development, and administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • PhD in clinical psychology from a CPA or APA-accredited program.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Minimum of four years of clinical experience, including supervision.
  • Experience in university-level teaching and supervising graduate students.
  • Managing outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
