Job summary

Autism Services in Saskatoon is seeking a Pay Band Psychologist at the Masters level to deliver psychological assessments and counselling for children and youth with emotional and behavioral needs. The role involves collaboration with schools and youth mental health services, reporting to the Manager of Youth MHAS, and working across school and community health settings in a 1.0 FTE capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience in the department/area/program specified.
• Master of Psychology (MPsych) required.
• Registered Psychologist (RPsych) required.
• Registered doctoral Psychologist with Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) required.
• Master of Clinical Psychology is acceptable.
• Master of Educational Psychology is acceptable.
• Training in differential diagnosis is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, psycho-educational, behavioral and family assessments for children and youth with emotional/behavioral issues.
• Prepare assessment reports and provide individual, group and family counselling in mental health and school settings.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Youth MHAS and clinical supervisor; coordinate with school and mental health staff.
• Split time between Prairie Spirit School Division and Youth Mental Health Services to deliver services in both settings.

Job Description: The incumbent will provide psychological assessments, psycho-educational, behavioral and family assessments in regard to children and youth exhibiting emotional/behavioral difficulties and mental health issues/disorders. The incumbent will complete psychological assessment reports and will provide individual, group and family counselling in both mental health and school settings. The incumbent will report to the Manager of Youth MHAS and must be able to work under the direction of the clinical supervisor and collaborate with school and mental health staff. The incumbent will geographically divide their time the Prairie Spirit School Division and Youth Mental Health Services by providing services in both settings. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
