Locations include: Dorchester (New Brunswick), Moncton (New Brunswick), Renous (New Brunswick), Saint John (New Brunswick), St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador), Dartmouth (Nova Scotia), Halifax (Nova Scotia), Springhill (Nova Scotia), Truro (Nova Scotia)

Position Code: PS-03

Salary: $85,917 to $100,165 (Plus applicable allowances, including a terminable allowance of $6,000 for a Master’s degree or $12,000 for a Ph.D., and a Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance of $2,000 per year. These allowances are subject to change.)

Work Environment

The CSC is hiring licensed Psychologists.

As a Psychologist, you will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, intervention, and treatment to a diverse patient population.

Intent of the Process

Application Requirements

To be considered, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the essential qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in clinical, forensic, or counseling psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Occupational Certification: Licensed/Registered as a Psychologist for autonomous practice by a provincial licensing body.
  • Experience: Providing psychological services (assessment, counseling, etc.) to adults, individually or in groups.

If you have additional qualifications:

  • Doctorate in psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Registration for autonomous practice in your province.
  • Experience in forensic/correctional settings, working with diverse populations, and providing culturally sensitive interventions.
