How you’ll make a difference:

Embrace a rewarding role with diverse and challenging work as part of a supportive team. With a master’s degree in psychology, you’ll develop treatment recommendations, determine psychological work capabilities and address barriers preventing clients from returning to work. You’ll also provide psychoeducation to assist in the return-to-work process. With your expertise in clinical, counselling, or rehabilitation psychology, you'll be a valued team member, sharing your passion for building relationships with clients and colleagues.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Deliver psychological services within a collaborative interdisciplinary team for injured workers with traumatic and/or cumulative psychological injuries.
  2. Provide services to workers who sustained a brain injury or who continue to experience persistent pain.
  3. Conduct psychological assessment and treatment to enhance our clients’ abilities to return to work.
  4. Facilitate psychology groups to address disability-related issues.
  5. Mentor undergraduate psychology interns and work with practicum students, and provisional psychologists.
  6. Contribute to program development as required.
  7. Consult with treatment teams and other relevant partners (e.g., disability managers) to assist with client treatment and recovery.
  8. Collaborate with psychology peers to ensure best practices.

Your experience and skills:

  1. Master's degree in psychology.
  2. Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  3. Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders is required.
  4. Experience providing psychological services and using evidence-based treatment for clients with trauma is required.
  5. Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy are assets.

Salary: Grade H6 - $7,426.02 to $9,611.71 per month

In accordance with the Collective Agreement between HSAA and WCB (Millard Health).

We have permanent and temporary opportunities. The temporary, full-time positions are for approximately one year with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Final candidates are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
