Job summary

The Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Service Center seeks a psychologist to support student well-being, adaptation, and academic success in a school setting.

You will participate in prevention, screening, assessment, and support for students with learning or adaptation challenges, develop intervention plans, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and the school team.

Membership in the OPQ is required, and French proficiency must be proven within three months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Be a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ)
  • Strong analytical, observational, and synthesis skills
  • Listening, communication, and dialogue skills
  • Promote collaboration with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Exhibit human, relational, and psychological qualities
  • Proof of success in the French SEL test or CÉFRANC or TECFÉE or the enhanced French exam of the CSSMB within three months of hiring at the latest.

Being a psychologist in a school environment means supporting the psychological and mental health of students to promote their well-being, good adaptation, and academic success.

On a daily basis, you intervene in prevention, screening, assessment, and support for students presenting or likely to present adaptation or learning difficulties. You assess their psychological and mental functioning, develop intervention plans, and work in collaboration with the school team and parents to support their academic journey and personal and social development.
