An established industry player is seeking a dedicated psychologist to join their innovative team in Grande Prairie. This role focuses on delivering exceptional psychotherapy to clients recovering from work-related injuries. You will engage in a collaborative environment, working alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other psychologists to provide comprehensive care. With a strong emphasis on a client-centered biopsychosocial approach, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement treatment plans that enhance clients' readiness for work. The WCB return to work programs provide psychosocial and physical therapy to injured clients while promoting the client's readiness for work. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality individual and group psychotherapy for the treatment of work injuries. The psychologist position requires you to be working closely within a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and kinesiologists. This team environment also includes plenty of opportunities to collaborate with other psychologists. In-person care is required; however, there are opportunities for creating a hybrid schedule with virtual care services.
You will provide top quality whole-person care using your client-centered biopsychosocial approach with both interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams (i.e., physiotherapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, vocational rehab specialist, case coordinators) and interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists).
