Job summary

Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) in Montreal seeks a psychoeducator to support students’ adaptive skills, autonomy, wellbeing and participation in school life. You will intervene in prevention, screening, assessment and tailored psychoeducational planning, serving as a consultant to staff and parents to ensure coherent interventions.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Order of Psychoeducators of Quebec (OPPQ).
• Strong analytical, observational, and synthesis skills.
• Excellent listening, communication, and dialogue abilities.
• Encourage collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate human, relational, and psychological qualities.
• Proof of success in the French test SEL or CÉFRANC or TECFÉE or CSSMB enhanced French exam within three months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of the psychoeducation service within institutional and CSSMB frameworks.
• Contribute to the screening and recognition of students experiencing difficulties, focusing on prevention and intervention.
• Plan and conduct assessments of students' adaptation difficulties and psychosocial needs, including for students with disabilities or diagnosed conditions, by a qualified professional.
