Psychiatrist Opportunity
If you’re an ABMS general adult psychiatrist and want to work in Canada, we’re a perfect match because that’s exactly what we are looking for!
Adult and geriatric patients will be your primary focus, but we welcome adolescent clients as well. A multidisciplinary treatment approach is utilized to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. We are fortunate to have excellent resources including social workers, psychiatric assessment nurses (PAN), and pediatricians who go above and beyond.
Steps from the hospital where 21 inpatient beds and 10 withdrawal management beds are housed, 240 Grand Ave West in Chatham is where comprehensive outpatient mental health services are provided. There’s NO overhead cost for the physicians! Staff, supplies, IT services, EMR, and private office space including parking are all provided at this turnkey clinic.
Located at the southern tip of Ontario—only 3 hours from Toronto and 1 hour to Detroit—Chatham isn’t called the banana belt of Canada for nothing. On top of your generous sessional funding payments, all call is eligible for HOCC payments of $487.94 made directly to you. Hospital call will be shared equally among all psychiatrists. Our ER team is excellent, so call volume is very manageable, and new psychiatrists won’t be given all the holidays. Sharing is caring!
