Role and Facility Information
Flanked by tree-trimmed mountain slopes, dramatic clay cliffs, and Okanagan and Skaha Lake, Penticton is one of the larger cities in the BC interior. Its lush surroundings and ideal climate, with over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, create a paradise. Residents can indulge in wineries, golf courses, and sandy beaches in the summer, and skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Penticton offers an innovative and adventurous waterfront city lifestyle, combining amenities of a larger urban centre with small-town charm and warmth. The city features fine dining, shops, recreational facilities, and a vibrant farmers’ market, making it an attractive place to live and work.
Facility Details — Penticton Regional Hospital
The Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a 158-bed Acute Care facility within the Interior Health Authority, serving a population of approximately 90,000. The hospital features a seven-bed ICU and serves as a referral base for hematology/transfusion medicine for smaller local hospitals in Oliver and Princeton.
In April 2019, PRH opened phase one of the David E.
