The Department of Psychiatry South Island has an opportunity for a Psychiatrist to provide inpatient and community consultation on Salt Spring Island. Key components of this position include:
The ideal candidate would be a qualified psychiatrist with comfort practicing in a small community with less psychiatric infrastructure. Psychological mindedness, self-reflective capacity, and working understanding of boundaries are assets in a setting when one meets one’s patients on the street every day.

Fee-for-Service Estimated Remuneration Fee-for-Service & Sessional billings & MOCAP. May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 7.98%, Retention Flat Fee $12,367, Relocation Funding Available up to $15,000, Recruitment Incentive $10,000, Other Benefits/Incentives Rural CME ($3,000 after 3 years; $6,000 after 4 years). Remuneration - Option of FFS and Sessions or Service Contract is available.
