Job summary

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. is hiring Tagalog-speaking Personal Support Workers and Caregivers to support clients in the comfort of their own homes in Belleville, Ontario.

You will assist with ADLs, light housekeeping, meals, medication reminders, and companionship, with documentation via a mobile device. Training in GPA or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention is preferred, and CPR/First Aid is required.

Qualifications

• PSW Certificate required.
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience.
• Language: fluent in Tagalog.
• GPA or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention training preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Must be able to use a mobile phone for documentation/time tracking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Support mobility and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair).
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation according to client needs.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor daily routines.
• Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager or healthcare team.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote comfort and well-being.

What You should know

Location: Belleville, On

Shift: Mon - Thurs: 8am-4pm

What You’ll Do:

Personal Support & Daily Care

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)

Home Support

• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary needs

Health & Safety Assistance

• Provide medication reminders and help monitor daily routines
• Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager or healthcare team

Companionship & Emotional Support

• Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
• Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being

What We’re Looking For

• PSW Certificate required
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience
• Language Requirement: Must be fluent in Tagalog
• Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention preferred
• CPR/First Aid Certification required
• Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Second language is an asset
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
