Job summary

Home Care Assistance is seeking PSW staff for four vacancies in Collingwood to provide personal care at an LTC facility. Shifts may vary across mornings, evenings, overnights and weekend work. 2+ years experience preferred, valid driver license and vehicle strongly recommended.

We offer a benefits plan after 30+ hours per week, 4% vacation pay on every pay, flexible hours, and 4–6 hour shifts as standard. We are WSIB compliant and committed to staff health and safety.

Qualifications

• PSW certification and PVSC within 6 months.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Driver's license and own insured vehicle mandatory.
• Satisfactory professional references.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good judgment and tact in confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support.
• Provide behaviors support and crisis intervention.
• Maintain open communication with client and family.
• Monitor care plan and document changes.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow Care Plan.
• ADL's.
• Clear and detailed care notes.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
