Qualifications

• PSW certification or diploma
• First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year)
• Up-to-date TB test and immunizations
• Strong time management, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster relationships with healthcare staff and clients
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Interest in continuous learning and high energy

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support clients in activities of daily living (ADL), including meal prep, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Assist clients with ambulation and transfers
• Support client independence and provide emotional support
• Communicate clearly and timely with clients, families, and stakeholders
• Ensure a safe environment for clients and workers

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Travel within community or facilities
• Long hours, including evenings and weekends
• Standing for extended periods, lifting and pushing involved
