Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a Personal Support Worker to help clients live safely and independently in their own homes. You will build relationships with clients, provide mobility and personal care, and support families with peace of mind.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for providing care and support to others.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-centred mindset.
• Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends.
• A valid driver's license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance.
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check.
• Previous experience in home care or a PSW role is an asset (though we welcome motivated newcomers).

Responsibilities

• Engaging in meaningful conversation and building genuine relationships with clients
• Assisting clients with daily living activities: mobility support, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding or meal routines as needed
• Helping with light housekeeping tasks and supporting clients to maintain a comfortable home environment
• Observing and reporting on changes in clients' physical, mental and behavioural health; completing documentation of care activities
