Job Description

Medix College is seeking a Personal Support Worker program lab instructor to join our team at our campus in Toronto, ON. This role involves instructing students, delivering curriculum, and assessing learning outcomes to prepare students for their careers in healthcare.

Position Summary

The instructor must be a RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with at least two years of clinical experience. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, organizing instructional resources, and evaluating student performance, all while demonstrating professionalism and commitment to student success.

Essential Functions

• Deliver curriculum through lectures, presentations, and LMS tools
• Instruct in classroom and clinical/lab settings
• Manage attendance, grades, and student support outside class hours
• Participate in orientations, meetings, and community engagement
• Maintain current industry knowledge and certifications
• Create organized lesson plans and handle student conflicts appropriately
• Support students with accommodations and professional development

Position Requirements

Minimum 48 months of work or teaching experience in the field within the last 10 years, or 24 months plus a relevant degree or certification. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with adult education preferred.
