Job Summary

We are looking for Portuguese speaking PSW, to do a live in shift in Brampton from Monday -Friday or 7 days a week. The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Nursing supervisor and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• AM and PM care
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship to clients
• Ability to follow a care plan
• Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

• Able to do live-in
• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the school)
• Current CPR/First Aid training
• Must speak Portuguese
• Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen or be willing to obtain one
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Access to the internet/mobile phone
• Great support and teamwork
• Dementia/Alzheimer experience
