Job summary

Nomic is building a high-throughput protein profiling platform. As an Associate on the Profiling Development team, you will execute profiling experiments, validate workflows, and help deploy new processes.

You will collaborate across Automation, Data, Software, and Operations to improve data quality and robustness. You will contribute to cross-functional projects, document work clearly, and thrive in a fast-paced lab environment, with opportunities to work on automation and scaling biology

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in biotechnology or related field with 1–3 years of hands-on lab experience (academic or industry).
• Familiarity with techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, bead-based assays, bio-conjugation & purification, spectroscopy, microscopy, PCR, or cell culture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document work clearly and completely.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: experience with liquid handler automation, conjugation chemistry, or multi-color flow cytometry.
• Bonus: experience handling diverse sample types or working with variable biological matrices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and validate profiling workflows independently, with guidance for detailed experimental plans.
• Contribute to development projects and continuous improvement by analyzing results and supporting root-cause investigations.
• Support deployment and change control by assisting pilot runs, updating SOPs and documentation.
• Assist with lab operations, reagent prep, instrument readiness, and coordination of experiments.
