Propelled by curiosity and driven by human connection, our creative process is based on cultivating the potential of our team. We nurture our expertise through mentorship and continuous learning. We listen to, consider, and build on each other’s ideas to develop thoughtful solutions that address complex challenges.

Our award-winning work spans a broad range of sectors including academic, healthcare, residential, mixed-use, commercial, cultural and civic. As we continue to grow our national practice, we are seeking talented individuals who embrace creative, passionate, and forward-thinking approaches to join our dynamic team.

What We Are Seeking

The Proposal Specialist is a creative and innovative member of Zeidler’s national marketing team. Working within Zeidler’s marketing team, and reporting to the Director of Business Development, you collaborate to plan, develop, and produce compelling proposal submissions. In this role, your strong attention to detail and organizational skills help you distill complex submission requirements into a clear set of tasks and responsibilities that you communicate to the pursuit team. With the Director of Business Development, you identify the firm’s strategic brand position and key win themes to guide each proposal response. You are responsible for coordinating the contributions of all team members for the pursuit, and ensuring a clear, unified, and compliant proposal response. • Supporting the Director of Business Development in developing timely, high-quality and competitive proposals in response to RFPs
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading proposal submissions, ensuring compliance with requests, clarity, consistent tone of voice, and brand messaging
  • Clearly communicating responsibilities and deadlines to the wider proposal team
  • Coordinating consultant submissions, customizing project profiles and team information
  • Compiling and designing proposal submission documents using InDesign
  • Searching assigned bid site(s), identifying potential opportunities for evaluation by the larger team
  • Gathering information to develop and maintain accurate and compelling narratives, project profiles, team CVs, and more.
  • Updating and maintaining current and accurate collateral databases including project and process narratives, team CVs, and more
  • Supporting other initiatives and the larger team, as needed
  • As a member of our team, you are expected to actively adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures established by the company. This includes understanding and following all relevant guidelines, participating in mandatory training sessions, and consistently practicing safe work habits. You are responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is crucial to the well-being of all employees and the overall success of our operations.

What You Will Bring

  • Relevant university degree or college diploma
  • Strong professional writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles including successful layout and effective typography
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom, Microsoft Office Suite, and online collaboration tools
  • 3+ years of relevant experience within architecture, engineering, construction, or design related industry
  • Passionate about architecture, design, and city-building
  • Understand the social impact of architecture, design, sustainability, and accessibility with an interest to express these values through written material
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
  • This position may require the ability to travel as needed. Travel may include visiting client sites, attending meetings, participating in training sessions, and representing the company at industry events
