Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Proposal Specialist in Montréal, QC to define, engineer, and manage bids for power plant simulators and digital control systems. You will own the solution, work with estimators to cost projects, and present cost bases to management.

The role requires excellent writing and presentation skills, bilingual English/French, and office software proficiency; occasional international travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent by experience.
• Experience in industrial controls, nuclear power simulation, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual French and English preferred.
• Proficient in Office suite; IBM DOORS is a plus.

Compensation Range: Between $75,000 - $125,000 CDN annually

Essential Functions:

• Define/engineer/manage bids and solutions for power plant simulators and/or digital control systems alongside Engineering, Operations and Business Development;
• Take ownership of the solution, engage with estimators and other functional groups to accurately cost the project;
• Present the solution and cost basis to all levels of management;
• Draft and deliver the technical proposal (excellent writing and oral/presentation skills are required);
• Support supply chain to estimate and to optimize costs;
• Provide support in the field (demos and presentations) at industry conferences.;
• Occasional international travel may be required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in a Science (or equivalent substantiated by experience);
• Experience in industrial controls (DCC or DCS), nuclear power simulation, or equivalent;
• Autonomous and proactive in meeting goals, and very functional in a dynamic team environment;
• Excellent communication skills. Preferably bilingual French and English, written and spoken;
• Fully functional in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), and in IBM DOORS (an asset);

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be eligible for registration with theControlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
