Sodales Proposal Manager leads the development and submission of compelling and competitive proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) or other business opportunities, delivering them with quality and in a timely manner. This person will coordinate various teams and resources to create persuasive proposals that showcase the company's capabilities and software solutions to potential clients or partners.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand the requirements outlined in RFPs or other business opportunities and work closely with sales, technical, and other relevant teams to gather necessary information.
- Develop a comprehensive proposal plan, outlining key milestones, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Define the proposal structure, including sections such as executive summary, technical approach, pricing, and compliance.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to create high-quality content for the proposal.
- Ensure that the proposal addresses all client requirements and presents the company's solutions effectively while highlighting the unique value proposition of Sodales.
- Write and edit proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the company's messaging and branding.
- Ensure all internal and external deadlines are met with quality work.
- Conduct thorough reviews to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies.
- Manage the final production of the proposal, ensuring timely submission, including adherence to any electronic submission requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any clarifications or additional information required during the proposal evaluation process.
- Gather feedback from proposal submissions to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous proposals to enhance future efforts.
- Stay informed about industry trends, client needs, and competitor offers to tailor proposals accordingly.
- Update status reports weekly with all follow-ups at least once a week.
- Work closely with product managers and product owners to update product knowledge and capabilities within the RFPs.
- Continuously improve RFP executive summaries and company differentiators according to the RFP requirements.
- Ensure alignment of proposals, leaders, and demos with the company's goals and focus by working closely with directors.
- Position AI scenarios successfully within proposals.
- Write attractive executive summaries tailored to client requirements.
- Differentiate between custom and standard requirements based on product configurations.
- Maintain a good understanding of Sodales technology and architecture.
- Understand security requirements and prerequisites for RFPs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; a master's degree or postgraduate certificate is an asset.
- At least 5 years of general experience, with the last 3 years in proposal management, preferably in the technology industry.
- Familiarity with technology solutions and industry standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in proposal management software and Microsoft Office.
- This position may require frequent travel to attend events and RFPs with customers.
