Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, property management, facilities management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Significant experience leading operational teams in property management, housing services, facilities management, or related environment.
  • Experience supervising staff and working within a collective agreement environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing service delivery and operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of tenant service delivery and client-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team of technical, maintenance, property, and client service staff within a district/hub model.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work to ensure effective service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture focused on service excellence.
  • Conduct performance management activities including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
  • Support staff in managing complex tenant situations and operational challenges.
  • Foster strong working relationships with union representatives and address labour relations matters professionally and collaboratively.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Promote a strong tenant-focused culture across the team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Property Hub Manager who is a strong people leader and operational manager to guide a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality property and tenant services. This role is ideal for a leader who can balance operational excellence, strong people leadership, and a commitment to service for tenants and applicants.

The Property Hub Manager manages client supports to tenants and applicants within a designated portfolio. This role oversees maintenance, property and client service delivery, ensuring that NSPHA operational policies, procedures, standards, hiring, scheduling, and performance management practices are met and consistently applied.

As a key operational leader, reporting to the District Director, you will ensure services are delivered efficiently and professionally while maintaining compliance with legislation, policies, and organizational standards. This role contributes directly to creating safe, affordable, and sustainable housing communities. You will identify tenant needs and ensure appropriate service delivery by setting clear expectations, coordinating services, and monitoring results.

Qualifications
Must Have
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, property management, facilities management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience supervising staff and working within a collective agreement environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing service delivery and operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of tenant service delivery and client-centered approaches.
Nice to have
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, housing regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.

Note: the successful candidate must be available to provide leadership and decision-making outside of normal business hours. This may include participation in a scheduled on-call rotation and responding to emergencies or other critical incidents as required.

The Fine Print

An equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.

This position requires a valid driver's license and use of a work vehicle. Travel within the HRM county is required.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support tenants and improve service delivery.

What We Offer
  • Salary: $3,266.39 - $4,246.33 biweekly (MC21)
  • Schedule: 35-hour work week
