Job summary

ClaimsPro LP in Canada is seeking an experienced Intermediate Property Adjuster to join our team, handling Commercial & Personal Lines claims. This role offers remote or hybrid work from anywhere in Canada and the opportunity to grow within a national claims network.

You will work with industry-leading Claim Space software, supported by senior executives and claims support, while building relationships with clients and adjusting claims efficiently.

Qualifications

  • University degree or related insurance education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property adjusting.
  • CIP designation or courses (C11-C14) desired; adjuster license advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust Commercial & Personal Lines property claims with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Balance workload with billable hours and maintain thorough file documentation.
  • Develop client relationships and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to settle claims efficiently.

We have an existing opportunity for an experienced Intermediate Property Adjuster to join our team!

The successful candidate can work remotely or hybrid from anywhere in Canada.

Competencies:

The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well‑honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have background/experience in Commercial & Personal Lines Property claims. Some experience in Auto or Liability claims will be considered an asset, as well as the following competencies: Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Onedrive) Previous adjusting experience preferred Advanced communication skills including: Effective written skills including grammar and those of a technical nature Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to audience Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner. Relationship Building skills Demonstrated and proven leadership skills Sense of urgency and responsiveness Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations. Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.

Qualifications & Experience:

University degree or post‑secondary education related to insurance is nice to have. Minimum of 3 years’ experience. CIP designation or working towards designation. Adjuster’s license or have completed a minimum of the below 4 CIP courses: C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance C12: Insurance on Property C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1 C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1 C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting (Nice to have) Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered. Ongoing commitment to education and learning. Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics Good investigative manner Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them. Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.
