Job summary

CLV is seeking a dependable cleaning professional in Ottawa to create and maintain clean, safe living environments for residents. The role offers $19/hr with three weeks paid vacation from day one and a comprehensive benefits program.

Responsibilities include deep cleaning move-outs, sanitizing common areas, and following safety protocols. CRC is required. Primary location is 2470 Southvale Crescent, Ottawa east end, with occasional variation in location.

CLV is looking for a dependable cleaning professional with a customer-first mindset who takes pride in creating and maintaining clean, safe and welcoming living environments for our residents.

Compensation

• $19/hr.

• Three weeks of paid vacation annually, starting on day 1 of employment.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:

• Performing deep cleaning of apartments following move-outs to prepare units for new residents.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, laundry rooms, gyms and other common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Emptying garbage and ensuring that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
• Responding to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
• Performing daily inspections of common areas and reporting any maintenance issues to the property operations team.
• Following all safety protocols and using all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

• Friendly, respectable, and community minded, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Previous cleaning experience considered an asset but is not required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.

Additional Information

• As a condition of employment, all successful candidates will be asked to complete a criminal record check (CRC).
• The primary work location for this position will be 2470 Southvale Cresent, just off St. Laurent Blvd in Ottawa's east end. Work location may vary occasionally.
