Job Description:We seek a Claim Advisor - Homeowner, reporting to the Manager, Property Claims. This technical role involves homeowner claim handling.
Accountabilities:- Interpret insurance policy wording, determine coverages, and set reserves.
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle homeowner claims of moderate to high complexity via telephone and written correspondence.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Settle claims within personal authority and escalate as needed.
- Manage a caseload, taking ownership and accountability for customer issues.
- Communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, and other insurers.
- Collaborate with team members including Homeowner Adjusters and Claims Assistants.
Qualifications:- Post-secondary education preferred; 1-2 years relevant Claim Advisor experience.
- Completion or pursuit of CIP designation preferred.
- Must be licensed in New Brunswick.
- Insurance experience in automobile and property claims is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills to analyze claims.
