Job Description:

We are seeking a Claim Advisor - Homeowner who will report to the Manager, Property Claims. This technical role involves homeowner claim handling.

Accountabilities:
  • Interpret insurance policies, determine coverages, and set reserves for claims.
  • Investigate, negotiate, and settle homeowner claims of moderate to high complexity via phone or written correspondence.
  • Follow Allstate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Settle claims within personal authority and follow guidelines for claims exceeding this authority.
  • Manage a caseload and take ownership of customer issues.
  • Communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, and other insurers.
  • Collaborate with fellow Homeowner Adjusters and Claims Assistants.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education preferred; 1-2 years relevant Claim Advisor experience.
  • Completion or pursuit of CIP designation preferred.
  • Licensed in New Brunswick.
  • Experience with auto and property claims is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to assess claims.
