Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Property Adjusters to join our WorkForce Advantage team in Canada.

The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle property claims by telephone and correspondence. They should work effectively with insureds, adjusters, clients, and other stakeholders. Providing excellent customer service and ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files are essential responsibilities.

As part of the Workforce Advantage team, you will be on our roster to be contacted and placed on contracts with our clients based on availability and fit. You will be an employee of Crawford & Co. but will work remotely at various insurance company offices/sites.

The position is typically a contract lasting 3-12 months, with the possibility of extension or a permanent position with the client.

Responsibilities

  1. Investigate, collect, and analyze claims information.
  2. Accurately record, report, and present files.
  3. Examine policies and settle claims while managing claims costs and adhering to provincial licensing regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate billing, and time and expense records.
  5. Collaborate with managers to maintain client relations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of property claims handling experience in an insurance environment.
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain a license or be working towards a CIP designation.
  • Experience in property adjusting, including investigation and detailed reporting of residential and commercial properties.
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including proficiency with Office 365.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth.
