Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. You will collaborate with Property Managers, senior leadership, and clients to ensure accurate financial information, maintain strong internal controls, and support informed business decisions.
Your responsibilities will include preparing monthly and annual financial statements, completing general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. You will manage common area maintenance (CAM) and property tax recoveries, analyze budget variances, monitor cash flows, and assist with annual budgets and forecasts. You have a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and year-end CAM reconciliations, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is considered an asset, although a combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered. You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with property management accounting software, ideally Entrata or Yardi Voyager. You bring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy allow you to build trust and contribute meaningfully to the team.
