Job Summary: Propane Service Technician II

In this role, you will work hands-on in the installation and maintenance of propane appliances and storage equipment, while providing top-tier customer service.

Responsibilities:


  1. Install and maintain a wide variety of propane appliances and storage equipment.
  2. Provide expert service and maintenance to various brands of heating equipment in the field, ensuring customer systems run efficiently and safely.
  3. Participate in on-call shifts during regular and off-business hours to ensure timely customer service and issue resolution.
  4. Plan and execute service calls efficiently, ensuring all work is completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
  5. Promote company offerings to customers, identifying sales opportunities during service calls to help meet branch revenue targets.
  6. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repairs, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  7. Complete all required paperwork, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  8. Follow company policies and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
  9. Conduct site-specific hazard assessments as required by company safety policies and report any unsafe acts or conditions when identified.
  10. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle inspections to ensure company vehicles are in proper working order, clean, and presentable to uphold the company image.
  11. Uphold the highest standards of service and safety while representing Avenir Energy in the field.

Qualifications:


  1. Minimum G2 certification required, with a willingness to acquire LP endorsement within the first 18 months of employment.
  2. Other trade certificates (e.g., air conditioning, sheet metal, etc.) are considered an asset.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service technician role, ideally with multi-certificate qualifications.
  4. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive client relationships.
  5. Clean driving record is a must; DZ license is considered an asset.
  6. Ability to promote and “up-sell” company services during service calls, helping to drive branch performance and customer satisfaction.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while following company guidelines.
  8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
  9. Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with all company policies.
