Job description

Job Title: Prompt AI Engineer

Location: Montreal QC (day 1 onboarding onsite - in-office presence required 3x/week)

12 Months Contract

Responsibilities:

1. Design prompts for AI applications and products.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and tech teams.
3. Test and analyze AI-generated responses to improve model performance.
4. Manage prompts through continuous refinement, storage, versioning, and ensuring conformity across environments.
5. Conduct A/B testing to evaluate prompt effectiveness.
6. Develop best practices for scalable prompt engineering.
7. Optimize prompts to improve system performance.
8. Stay updated on advancements in the Gen AI space and share insights with the team.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, NLP, AI applications, or related fields.
• Expertise in prompt engineering for large language models such as OpenAI's GPT, Google’s Gemini, or Claude.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI frameworks like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), NL to SQL, etc.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience in AI model performance evaluation or annotations.
• Previous experience in AI-driven chatbot development or conversational AI platforms.
