Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation, Ltd. seeks a Promotions Associate to plan and build store displays, stock shelves and assist customers in a fast-paced environment. The role includes maintaining displays, pricing items, and supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks according to instructions.
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends and holidays).
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours, lifting/carrying items, and using a ladder.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Result-oriented and customer-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Ensure promotional items are placed and priced in feature areas.
• Execute merchandise layout changes (set-up, maintenance, display).
• Stock shelves and display areas neatly and safely.
• Maintain feature ends, side panels and platform displays by replenishing as required.
• Remove stock from other locations and replace damaged/expired items as needed.
• Execute retail tasks efficiently (stocking, labels, facing, cleaning).
• Ensure inventory accuracy and report low stock levels.
• Place product and overstock in correct locations.
• Report stolen/damaged goods to Management.
• Assist in meeting store audit performance requirements.
• Complete necessary paperwork daily.
• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance.

The Promotions Associate is responsible for planning and building displays throughout the store that are visually appealing and maximize impact on a day-to-day basis. This role involves store maintenance such as hole checks, stocking shelves, merchandising and customer service.

• Ensure the promotional items are placed and priced appropriately in the feature areas.
• Execute merchandise layout changes (set-up, maintenance, and removal of displays, signage, etc.).
• Stock shelves and merchandise display areas neatly and safely.
• Maintain the feature ends, side panels, and platform displays by replenishing as required.
• Remove stock belonging to a different location and replaces damaged or expired items when necessary.
• Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.).
• Ensure inventory accuracy, and identify and report low stock levels.
• Ensure that product and overstock is placed in the appropriate locations.
• Report stolen and damaged goods to Management.
• Assist in meeting store audit performance requirements.
• Complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills
