Job summary

WGL is offering a 16‑month Engineering Co‑op position to gain hands‑on experience supporting large energy infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced engineers and project professionals in planning, design, and execution of capital projects across AltaGas’ Midstream business.

The role may involve travel to project sites to support field activities, with mentorship from engineers and project managers. Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an Engineering co‑op program pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Process, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Available to complete a 16‑month co‑op term beginning January 2027.
• Willingness to travel to project and operational sites as required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and project teams with planning, development, and execution of capital projects.
• Assist with technical reviews, project documentation, engineering deliverables, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Contribute to cost, schedule, risk, and project performance monitoring activities.
• Support project design, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities across lifecycle stages.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes.
