Position: Project Teams Manager

Primary Location: Home Based - Western Canada

Reports to: Corporate Project Director

Compensation: $190-200,000.00 CDN + Bonus and Benefits (salaried, exempt)

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. About this Role and About You

The Project Team Manager leads the Project Team to execute the capital projects with focus on operational reliability and sustainability. Manages the “Sustenance” capital budget for the organization in a manner that reflects corporate objectives, Responsible Care principles, Process Safety Management, and Mechanical Integrity requirements. They participate in project scope and design efforts to assure optimization of reliability for new processes. The Project Team Manager also drives short and long-range sustenance capital planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years refinery/chemical plant experience with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated skill/knowledge in the following areas:

o Capital project management

o Manufacturing plant support & construction

o Chemical plant engineering & equipment design

o Material handling equipment

o Piping & pumping systems

o Pneumatic equipment

o Materials of construction

o Responsible Care 14001oASTM and ASME standards

  • Able to work in a team environment with colleagues and cross functional groups both internally and externally
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • Ability to travel 25-30%
