Job summary

NES Fircroft in Canada seeks an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and report project schedules for a major mining project. You will collaborate with project controls, engineering, procurement, construction and management teams to ensure milestones are achieved.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in mining scheduling, is proficient with Primavera P6 and MSP, and can translate engineering deliverables into integrated schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project scheduling experience on industrial or capital projects.
• Mining project experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MSP.
• Strong understanding of project controls principles and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting projects through study, FEL, sanction, and execution phases.
• Ability to interpret engineering, procurement, and construction deliverables and incorporate them into integrated project schedules.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze schedule performance, critical paths, float consumption, and progress against key milestones.
• Produce schedule reports, dashboards, and forecasts for project stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls personnel to validate schedule activities and sequencing.
• Support project planning, look-ahead schedules, turnaround planning, and execution readiness activities.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule-related analysis and presentations.
• Assist with project controls functions, including schedule and cost integration where required.
• Support project teams during travel to site locations on an as-needed basis.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a major mining project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting project schedules while working closely with project controls, engineering, procurement, construction, and management teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.

This role is ideal for a scheduler with strong mining project experience who understands the terminology, project lifecycle, and scheduling requirements associated with large-scale capital projects.
