A leading company in Lévis is looking for a Project Procurement Specialist to manage procurement processes for various projects. The successful candidate will handle vendor negotiations, collaborate with different departments, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, contributing to successful project execution.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Procurement Specialist to support the procurement process across a variety of projects. The successful candidate will be autonomous, capable of managing end-to-end procurement processes while ensuring effective communication and alignment with key stakeholders such as the Project Management Office (PMO), engineering, legal, and finance teams. The role involves working closely with subcontractors, negotiating contracts, placing purchase orders (POs), and supporting the engineering, planning and project estimation team. The Procurement Specialist will also monitor and report on subcontractor tenders and project status to ensure that procurement activities align with the overall project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
·Proven experience (7-10 years) as a Procurement Specialist or similar role, with a focus on project procurement in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
·Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage subcontractor relationships.
·Solid understanding of procurement processes, project management methodologies, and contractual obligations.
·Advanced business and analytical skills related to strategic sourcing for major projects.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
·Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
·Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or other procurement platforms).
·Leadership ability and strategic vision, with excellent communication and persuasion skills, both oral and written.
·Understanding of financial processes, billing, milestone payments, authority levels and controls.
·Experience in one of the following industries would be an asset: mining, aerospace, oil and gas, construction, energy or large construction companies.
·French and English (written and oral). Fluency in English is required for this position, as the incumbent will be required to interact with English-speaking suppliers.
·Familiarity with legal and financial considerations in contract and procurement management.
·Detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple projects and priorities.
