You will be reporting to the the Project Procurement Manager you will be part of the Procurement Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Supervise purchasing and contract administration activities performed by staff reporting to her/him
- Lead and coordinate the procurement activities for Supply and Services packages with the team to ensure the project is executed within budget and on schedule
- Lead procurement planning, tendering, bid evaluation and recommending to award for the most suitable suppliers or contractors
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with IBA, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to ensure procurement activities meet project needs
- Work closely with Engineering and Construction teams in developing bid packages, scopes of work, specifications, and drawing
- Ensure purchase orders and contracts for construction and service are prepared
- Monitor and support the team in the update of the Procurement Schedule
- Ensure that goods and services will be procured for the most economically beneficial price which meets the specified requirements relative to scope of work, quality, and schedule
- Support the procurement team in meetings with suppliers to negotiate and resolve commercial, technical, and contract completion problems
- Coordinate material management and monitor expediting to meet contractual delivery dates for the supply of supplier documentation and goods
- Monitor and control the team man-hour expenditures against the project budget
- Ensure the smooth transfer of management and administration of contracts from the home office to the site Contract Administrators
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions or cost overruns
- Advance knowledge of Projects Procurement workflow
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, law, engineering, or another relevant field; Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, understanding of common legal terms
- Mining and/or large-scale construction project experience
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 5 days of work followed by 2 days off and 4 days of work followed by 3 days off at our Detour Lake mine site.
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
