Agilus is recruiting for a Project Operations Manager (Fire Protection) in the Fire Protection Services Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Our client is an established engineering, design, construction, retrofit, and maintenance company that specializes in Fire Protection and Industrial Utilities, seeking an experienced Project / Operations Manager - Fire Protection to join their Edmonton team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, management, and accountability to all direct reports; responsible for profit and loss of projects.
- Create and assign KPIs to direct reports to drive results; conduct site visits to maintenance and construction sites in Alberta / TBD.
- Act as the Account Manager for existing regional clients; build and maintain positive client relations; conduct onsite meetings to address issues, ensure satisfaction, and plan projects.
- Support business development activities; ensure quality assurance; coach team members; conduct quarterly performance reviews.
- Monitor project progress; identify delays/issues; work with team and clients to implement mitigation measures.
- Participate in weekly management meetings following EOS level 10 format; lead weekly team meetings accordingly.
- Strive for continuous improvement in personal growth, systems, inventory, planning, scheduling, training, fleet management, and more.
- Initiate team-building events; maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and company image.
Requirements:
- Project Management experience is an asset; PMP or MMP designation preferred.
- 5-8 years of industrial utility and/or fire protection experience; relevant education.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience as an Operations Manager, Service Manager, or Superintendent; extensive NFPA, Alberta Fire Code, ABSA knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple projects; results-oriented; thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Leadership skills to motivate others; valid driver’s license; willingness to travel within Alberta.
- Subject Matter Expert or extensive Fire Protection experience in industrial/maintenance settings required.
