AtkinsRéalis in Halifax seeks an experienced water/wastewater project leader to manage municipal-scale designs and deliverables. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, develop proposals, and foster client relationships for long-term partnerships.

You should bring a 10+ year track record in water/wastewater, P.Eng. in Nova Scotia or eligibility, and strong leadership and communication skills to mentor engineers and coordinate complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Nova Scotia or eligible for registration.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant municipal water and wastewater experience.
• Strong leadership with mentoring capabilities for technical teams.
• Proven project management and client relationship skills.
• Knowledge of Atlantic Canadian municipal and provincial design standards.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with water/wastewater process design team on preliminary and detailed deliverables (drawings, specs, cost estimates).
• Lead process design of pumping stations, reservoirs, storage facilities, and water/wastewater systems.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical design packages for municipal/industrial clients.
• Support proposals and contribute to business development across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior professionals.
• Act as technical advisor for clients and build long-term relationships and repeat business.

Your role

As part of the Water Treatment team in our Halifax office, you will:

• Manage projects to ensure high-quality deliverables while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
• Collaborate with the water and wastewater process design team in the preparation of preliminary and detailed engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Lead the process design of pumping stations, reservoirs, storage facilities, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical design packages and solutions for municipal and industrial clients.
• Support the preparation of proposals and actively contribute to business development activities within the water and wastewater sectors across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to intermediate and junior professionals.
• Act as a technical resource and trusted advisor for clients, supporting the development of long-term relationships and repeat business opportunities.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Nova Scotia, or eligible for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia.
• Eligeable for security clearance regarding DND projects.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the municipal water and wastewater sector.
• Recognized technical leadership with experience providing guidance on complex projects and mentoring technical teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater treatment technologies, pumping systems, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Atlantic Canadian municipal and provincial design standards and regulations, with familiarity with standards and practices from other Canadian jurisdictions considered an asset.
• Proven project management and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
