Manulife Financial is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager, Transformation to drive strategic initiatives across Canada Operations. You will lead cross-functional transformation programs from ideation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational objectives.

You will partner with senior leaders and project teams to deliver measurable outcomes while strengthening governance, change adoption, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of project or program management experience delivering large-scale transformation.
  • Experience delivering cross-functional programs within regulated industries such as insurance/financial services.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong governance and executive communication skills with steering committee materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Transformation Delivery & Execution: lead end-to-end delivery of strategic transformation initiatives, on-time, in-scope, within budget, with roadmaps.
  • Governance, Planning & Reporting: establish governance, manage risks/issues, prepare exec materials, status updates.

Job description

We're looking for a highly motivated Project Manager, Transformation to help drive strategic initiatives across Canada Operations. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional transformation programs from ideation through implementation and benefits realization, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational objectives. You will partner with senior leaders, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver measurable outcomes while strengthening governance, change adoption, and organizational effectiveness. This is an excellent opportunity to influence large-scale business and digital transformation initiatives while building strong executive partnerships.

Position Responsibilities
  • Transformation Delivery & Execution: Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations. Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and delivery roadmaps.

  • Governance, Planning & Reporting: Establish and maintain strong project governance, including risk, issue, dependency, and decision management. Prepare executive presentations, steering committee materials, status reports, and leadership updates that translate complex information into actionable insights.

  • Stakeholder, Risk & Financial Management: Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to drive stakeholder alignment, facilitate decision-making, and support change adoption. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and benefit realization activities while proactively identifying and mitigating delivery risks.

Required Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of project or program management experience leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Proven success managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.

  • Strong governance, reporting, and executive communication skills, including development of steering committee and leadership materials.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or other project/change management certification.

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation, operational excellence, or organizational change initiatives.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and business case development.

  • Excellent executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities.

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives with significant organizational impact.

Salary range is expected to be between

$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
