Job description

Our CEO carries a portfolio of projects that sit above any single team. Some are core to the business. Others are ventures, partnerships, and long-horizon initiatives that sit outside our product entirely and involve external, institutional, and government counterparts. What they have in common is that no existing function owns them, and today they move only as fast as one very busy person's attention allows.

We are hiring one person to own that portfolio.

This is not a workstream inside someone else's roadmap, and it is not an administrative role. It is closer to being a small internal consulting team of one, attached directly to the CEO. You will be handed problems that are unscoped, unfamiliar, and often outside your prior domain, and you will be expected to make sense of them, decide what matters, and drive them to a result.

What you will do

Own the CEO's project portfolio.Take a standing set of initiatives — some familiar, some entirely new territory — and move them forward. Scope them, sequence them, work out who needs to be involved, and keep everyone current on where things stand.

Sit in the room and carry the work out.You will be in the CEO's meetings, internal and external. You are expected to capture what was decided, leave with clear owners and dates, and follow through — including assigning action items back to the CEO and holding him to them.

Own the calendar completely.Priorities, scheduling, travel, and the coordination that protects the CEO's attention. This is full ownership, not an occasional task, and it sits alongside the project work rather than beneath it. We would rather be direct about that now than surprise you later.

Represent the CEO in writing.A large share of this role is written: briefings, summaries, agendas, pre-reads, and correspondence that goes to executives, boards, partners, and external counterparts. It needs to be clear, correct, and appropriate to the audience every time.

Prepare material for high-stakes audiences.Decks, briefings, and presentations for leadership, boards, and external and institutional stakeholders — often on short notice, often on subjects you are learning as you build them.

Coordinate across regions. We operate across multiple offices and time zones. You will help run leadership cadence across them, which means some early or late overlap most weeks.

Travel.Regularly and internationally, sometimes with limited notice.

What we are looking for

We care more about how you think than how long you have been doing it. Seniority is not the filter here; judgment is.

  • Ability to handle unfamiliar context. You can be dropped into a subject you know nothing about and quickly work out what actually matters, what the real question is, and what to do next. This is the single most important quality for this role.
  • A track record of finishing cross-functional workthrough people who do not report to you.
  • Strong written English. You can turn a long, messy conversation into a short, useful summary, and you can write something that goes out under the CEO's name without needing a second pass.
  • Comfort with senior people. You can follow up with executives, ask a direct question when something is unclear, and say plainly when something is off track.
  • Discretion. You will see compensation, personnel, commercial, and strategic information. Sound judgment about confidential information is non-negotiable.
  • Responsiveness.Priorities move quickly and you will need to be reachable and reliable when they do.
  • Fluent use of AI toolsas part of how you work — research, drafting, synthesis. We expect this, not tolerate it.
  • Comfort with modern working tools(Notion, Slack, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
  • Willingness to travel internationally and often.
Helpful, not required
  • A consulting background, or similar experience being parachuted into new problems on short timelines
  • Commercial or sales exposure — comfort in front of a customer, partner, or counterpart
  • Experience supporting a founder or CEO directly
  • Experience with large, long-horizon, or multi-stakeholder projects
  • Additional languages relevant to our regions
  • Background in B2B SaaS, health technology, or another regulated industry
Who does well here, and who does not

People who like being handed something messy and undefined and turning it into a plan. You will rarely get a clean brief. You will often be the person who knows best where something really stands, which means being the one to say so when the answer is not what anyone was hoping for.

If you want ownership, variety, unusual exposure to how decisions get made, and to be trusted early, this is a good role.

If you prefer well-defined scope, stable priorities, and staying within a domain you already know, this is not the right role — and that is genuinely worth knowing before you apply.
