The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind your projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and consultants, building trust and leading your team to success.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and tendering through to project execution, commissioning, and final handover.
• Developing and meticulously maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
• Managing all financial aspects of the project, including progress draws, change order management, and final reconciliation.
• Leading and mentoring project teams, including Project Coordinators and Site Superintendents, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Negotiating and managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best value and performance.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and engineering consultants.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks while championing the highest standards of site safety and quality control.

Who You Are

You are a proactive and results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the Vancouver tenant improvement market.

• Experienced: You have 7+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager, with a strong focus on commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects.
• Proven: You have a demonstrable portfolio of successfully completed, high-quality TI projects for corporate, legal, or professional services clients.
• Technical: You are proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and have strong financial acumen.
• Communicator: You possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with all stakeholders.
• Educated: A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a strong asset. PMP or Gold Seal Certification is highly desirable.
