Position Summary:
The Technical Services Manager is a strategic leader responsible for ensuring operationalexcellence, compliance, and digital innovation across KVSLP’s projects. This role works with allleads in Kitsaki Vegetation, overseeing SaskPower contract execution, driving digitizationinitiatives, and supporting the General Manager in advancing organizational goals. Preferencewill be given to candidates with UVMA certification and a background in SaskPower protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Compliance Management:
- Review all SaskPower contracts, work orders, projects, and invoices to identify and workwith the controller and office manager to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure required documentation (e.g., approvals, signatures, additions and deletions,Mob/Demob records, contractor details) is complete and accurate.
- Validate Vegetation Management Reports (VMR), planning time logs, and costallocations for compliance and accuracy.
Digital Process Development:
- Lead digitization of paper-based systems, including VMR tracking, timesheets,production rates (Trim/Mow), and Hazard Assessment & Risk Analysis (HARA).
- Develop a roadmap to transition field processes to a tablet-based system for all fieldstaff in mow, trim and slash.
- Manage ISNET compliance: maintain training records, prevent lapses, and train fieldstaff to use Empower and other digital programs to self-monitor.
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Collaborate with management team to optimize workflows, implement best practices,and bring solution-based concepts to the team with summaries.
- Review all RFPs/RFQs for non-maintenance projects and manage the SaskPowerproject schedule with the general manager.
- Analyze the feasibility of ISO certification (Safety, Health, Quality, Environment) andprepare discussion papers for the leadership team.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in technical/project management, preferably in vegetation management orutilities.
- Proven experience with contract compliance, ISNET, and digitizing operationalprocesses.
- Strong knowledge of SaskPower standards, ISO frameworks, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license (travel required).
