About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Project Manager – Strategic Projects to lead and execute construction and major renovation projects across our national portfolio of senior living communities. This role is critical in delivering high-impact projects on time and within budget, while ensuring minimal disruption to resident life and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the execution of major renovation and construction projects across Canada
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, architects, and construction teams to bring strategic design visions to life
Travel nationally to monitor project progress, site performance, and ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and quality standards
Report project status to the Director, Capex Projects and provide regular updates and escalation of risks
Prepare RFPs or coordinate tenders, review bids and provide recommendations.
Ensure compliance with contracts
Track all costs and manage to meet budget.
Lead onsite coordination with contractors, consultants, and community operations teams
Drive accountability with vendors and site partners to ensure project milestones are met
Ensure compliance with all safety, building, and health regulations
Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities
Attend and facilitate town halls to share construction update with resident, families, and site teams.
Act as the owner’s representative on site and uphold company values and resident-focused design standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living environments
Proven ability to manage large-scale renovations and construction rollouts
Experience working with architectural and design professionals
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to travel frequently within Canada
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Proficiency in Workday or Yardi is an asset
PMP certification is an asset
Design sensibility and understanding of resident-centered environments is a strong advantage
