THE GOAL

Our Project Managers are ultimately the relationship stakeholders with our clients and our internal technical teams. Reporting directly to our Delivery Partners and Account Managers, you’ll have the rewarding responsibility of managing projects from inception to completion and beyond. You are a software professional with experience in building enterprise solutions with development, analysis, or testing skills and are looking to expand your career progression by managing software development projects

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of technology professionals including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance to produce client-driven results.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Identify and communicate risks effectively and work proactively to mitigate them
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, documentation and reports.
  • Produce key project management artifacts such as statements of work, post-project retrospectives, case studies, and feedback documents.
  • Working with your Delivery Partner, maintain strong client relationships, set clear expectations and influence successful project deliverables.
  • Support project teams to achieve exceptional results by providing motivation, organizing processes and workflows, and removing obstacles and facilitating solutions to issues.
  • Prioritize project initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Understand software solutions and how they are used by a wide variety of clients in multiple domains, sometimes simultaneously.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a consulting environment as a Software Professional (Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or Developer) and are looking to step into a project/team management role.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as proficient knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging productivity tools (e.g. JIRA, DevOps, Miro) to track and communicate project status with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid presentation skills and the ability to facilitate consensus building with internal and external teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills – speaking, listening, and written.
  • 3-5 years in the software industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Located in Calgary.
