Job summary

Red Nucleus is seeking a Project Manager to deliver medical communications projects on time and within budget. You will coordinate with client services, medical, and creative teams to translate strategy into actionable plans and drive execution.

The role involves managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications while coaching junior staff and ensuring a seamless client experience. A strong PM background in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of digital, project management, account management, healthcare, or agency experience.
• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or related certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple complex medical communications projects, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Lead day-to-day project operations with minimal supervision, maintaining project plans, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate communications between internal teams and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support development of project briefs and Statements of Work in partnership with Client Services.
• Lead estimation discussions and develop budget ranges with documented assumptions.
• Identify regulatory, technical, or operational risks and implement solutions proactively.
• Maintain project documentation, templates, reporting tools, and project records.
• Prioritize deliverables and assignments through effective stakeholder communication.
• Partner closely with Client Engagement, who owns client relationships and account strategy, while the Project Manager owns delivery planning, execution, and risk management.
• Assign and coordinate work across multidisciplinary teams including UX, Graphic Design, Animation, Software Development, and QA.
• Manage project resources and adapt plans based on changing requirements.
• Control project scope, monitor risks, develop contingency plans, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Lead project retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and implement process improvements.
• Monitor project financials, status updates, and key performance insights.
• Coach and mentor Project Coordinators and junior team members.
