Job summary

UL Solutions, a global safety science leader, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery and governance of multiple projects in a collaborative environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field
• PMP, Prince2 and/or Agile certification preferred but not required
• Experience with project portfolio management tools is desirable

Responsibilities

• Managing the implementation of small to medium projects
• Provides leadership and support to project team members
• Front-line contact on project activities, issues, and risks
• Manages project risks and issues and escalates accordingly
• Interfaces with business unit leaders and finance to develop ROI/IRR and other financial measures
• Manages stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly
• Adheres to program and project governance (controls)
• Plans and monitors overall project progress and performs daily project management
• Manages the project budget and financial performance

• Manages and utilizes resources
• Aligns deliverables to project outcomes with business change manager

• Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.

• Provides overall leadership and support to project team members.

• Acts as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks.

• Manages the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.

• Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders, and with Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures.

• Manages stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly.

• Adheres to program and project governance (controls).

• Plans the overall project and monitors the progress and performs Daily project management throughout the project's life cycle.

• Manages the projects budget and financial performance.

• Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.

• Manages and utilizes resources.

• Aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the project's outcome with the aid of the business change manager.

• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

• Performs other duties as directed.

• In depth understanding of project management concepts.

EXPERIENCE

• More than four years of project management experience.

• Experience working on project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.).

EDUCATION

• Bachelors' degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field PMP, Prince 2 and/or Agile certification (preferred but not required).

The estimated salary range for this position is $XX- $XX and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of X% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
