Job summary

CI Financial is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our PMO and lead end-to-end delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives.

You will manage projects through intake, planning, execution, integration, and close-out, collaborating with IT leaders and business sponsors to ensure on-time, in-scope outcomes.

This role emphasizes governance, stakeholder communication, risk management, and adherence to PMO standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience delivering cross-functional business and technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a structured delivery environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working with senior business leaders and technology teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office applications.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large-scale business and technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and RAID logs to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to achieve project objectives.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and governance forums while providing clear status reporting and executive communications.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, drive alignment, and support timely decision-making across competing priorities.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, recommending practical solutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards, delivery frameworks, and project management best practices.
• Partner with Program Managers to support project intake, integrated planning, prioritisation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO). The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives that support CI GAM's priorities and operational objectives. The successful candidate will manage projects through all phases of the delivery lifecycle, from intake and planning through execution, implementation, and close-out. This role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, risk identification, governance oversight, and the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams. Working closely with Program Managers, business sponsors, IT leaders, and cross-functional teams, the Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic business goals. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently drive projects forward while maintaining strong governance and communication practices.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 - $119,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. This role follows our in-office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
