Job summary

Parker Huggett is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established Ottawa construction firm. This hands-on role focuses on delivering projects with direct access to senior leadership and field teams, enabling real-time decisions that impact quality and client satisfaction.

You will manage multiple projects through pre-construction, execution and closeout, ensuring budgets, schedules and procurement align with high standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with General Contractor, Construction Manager or civil/site contractor.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts and project documentation.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement and subcontractors.
• Exposure to commercial, institutional, municipal, federal, civil or specialty construction projects.

Parker Huggett is proud to be working with a well-established Ottawa construction firm to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.

For more than four decades, our client has built a strong reputation throughout the National Capital Region for delivering unique and technically challenging construction projects with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and client service.

Their portfolio spans commercial, institutional, municipal and federal work, including construction management, general contracting, civil/site development, restoration and specialty construction.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Project Manager who enjoys being close to the work and wants to join a locally established contractor where decisions are made quickly, relationships matter, and you can have a direct impact on the success of your projects.

Unlike larger corporate contractors where Project Managers can become removed from the actual construction, this environment offers the opportunity to stay involved, work directly with experienced leadership and field teams, and see the impact of your decisions firsthand.

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned construction projects while working closely with the estimating, field and senior management teams.

• 5+ years of construction project management experience

• Experience with site development, concrete, civil works, exterior construction, restoration or technically challenging specialty projects would be considered a strong asset
