Job summary

GE HealthCare in southwestern Ontario is seeking a Project Manager - Installation to coordinate planning, delivery, installation and timely execution of Medical Imaging equipment orders, while supporting customer commitments and business objectives. You will be the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, traveling to client sites and performing home-based work as required.

  • College or University degree in Commerce (Business Analytics, Business Administration, Operations) and / or Engineering or equivalent related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of project management experience or indirect expertise in multiple lead installation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale project management where deadlines were met on or ahead of schedule (eg: construction, equipment/devices installation experience).
  • Willingness to travel cross provincially including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Project Manager - Installations, Diagnostic Imaging and Invasive Cardiology

As a Project Manager - Installation, based in southwestern Ontario, you will coordinate planning, delivery, installation and timely execution of various Medical Imaging equipment orders to fulfill customer commitments and operationally support business objectives. You will be a primary point of contact for our customer base and internal stakeholders, working collaboratively to meet customer requirements. This role requires travel and onsite time at customer facilities as well as home-based work. It requires joint interaction with customers, sales, service, customer training functions and other commercial operations team members. Additionally, this role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Accurate forecasting of project execution is a key requirement along with timely communication of project status a key date changes. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Non-Turnkey Projects below local threshold or Product/Equipment-Only Projects.
  • Responsible for overseeing the project and coordination/support of project resources.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute the project plan.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
  • Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
  • Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and process productivity throughout the installation process.
  • Act as the primary liaison between GE HealthCare and the customer project teams.
  • Identification, escalation and resolution of issues, which might affect customer satisfaction and GE HealthCare operational targets.
  • Work cross functionally with sales, customer training functions, services & commercial operations teams while owning the project management and implementation process for GE HealthCare Projects.
  • Maintain accurate project milestone date accuracy creating visible and predictable data for key business metrics and revenue forecasting.
  • Support the revenue & site readiness forecasting process.
Required Qualifications
  • College or University degree in Commerce (Business Analytics, Business Administration, Operations) and / or Engineering or equivalent related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of project management experience or indirect expertise in multiple lead installation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale project management where deadlines were met on or ahead of schedule (eg: construction, equipment/devices installation experience).
  • Willingness to travel cross provincially including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Desired Characteristics
  • Pursuing or Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, EHS and quality requirements for safe and compliant order fulfillment.
  • Knowledge or experience within the Healthcare industry and GE HealthCare products (Diagnostic Imaging and Invasive Cardiology modalities).
  • Proficient in project Management Software such as Workbench, MS Project, Smartsheets, or similar tools.
  • Proficient with design tools (AutoCAD, Visio).
  • Six Sigma certification and/or experience in Lean methodology.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in French / English, highly desirable
